Will you pray for this little guy?
Things were going well for the first few months. His lungs were maturing, though he had to wear his little oxygen tube. His PT was helping him as he soared around the room in his horsie walker. He was responding to his momma's love and his dad's touch, and his favorite was his sister, Kimber.
One month ago Drake started having trouble breathing. He had pneumonia. He spent a week in the hospital and showed improvement. He came home and got sick again. Today little Drake is in a drug-induced coma and doctors are trying to help him fight to heal.
I know this family well. I love Justin and Jennifer as if they were my own family. As I visited Drake's Caring Bridge site, I heard the fatigued voice of a mom who has had a tough, tough year. I am asking that you pray for Drake. But also for Justin and Jennifer and Kimber. I am also asking that you forward this to your church prayer lists, to praying friends, and to anyone who will call out Drake's name in prayer. We need to surround this family in a strong circle of prayer and love.

I have a new grandson named Elijah Joe and Im thankful everyday he is healthy as well as my other two Katelyn, 6 1/2 yrs. old and Gage 18 months. I will send up "popcorn prayers" for Drake. He is adorable. Stay faithful and strong.

My prayers are with Drake that God will touch him with His healing hand and give you and your husband the rest and strength you both need.
